Hi, I’m Anna Ong.
I’m so happy to meet you!
I’m an ex-banker turned storyteller. I’m the Founder of WYSH - What’s Your Story Huh? — a consultancy that uses storytelling and comedic improvisation techniques to help you be a better communicator.
I’m also the host of What’s Your Story Slam, a storytelling show here in Singapore. I teach the storytelling course Seed to Stage where we turn your seed of a story and help you flesh it out to tell it on stage.
I thought I was funny, so I decided to try comedy
I am a storyteller. No, I don't dress up as a fairy and tell stories at children's parties.
I work with organizations, teams and individuals in crafting their stories in their voice. A well-crafted story is a company's asset. Stories can be used as tools for power and building a strategy.
Before this, I spent over 15 years in financial services, where I held various sales, relationship management, strategy, and operations roles.
While I enjoyed the challenges in banking, I didn't feel a passion for the job or the industry. Storytelling is my passion.
Since I decided to be a storyteller, I have been on stage to tell my stories solo and as a group through improv.
I had my aha moment in one of our improv exercises where I saw the business applications of improv.
So I set up WYSH (What's Your Story Huh?). This company uses improv and storytelling to make breakthroughs with teams and individuals and eventually organizations in communication, collaboration and agility.
