Your experience has earned you the room but your story helps people understand why.
You are the person people turn to when things get serious. You have led teams, solved difficult problems and made decisions under pressure. Your experience gives you substance.
Then someone asks you to speak about yourself.
Perhaps it is for a keynote, panel, pitch, town hall, interview or LinkedIn post. You reach for your job title, credentials and list of achievements. The information is accurate. Somehow, the person behind it disappears.
Many experienced professionals have spent years learning to downplay their contribution. They call it humility. Their audience receives an incomplete picture of what they have done and what they can offer.
Seed to Stage™ helps you identify the experiences that shaped your judgement and turn them into stories people can understand, trust and remember.
Why This Matters Now
Audiences are flooded with information and AI can generate competent content in seconds. Your credentials show people what you have done and your personal narratives reveal how you think, what you value, and why your experience matters in this particular room.
A strong professional story helps your audience understand:
What you have learned
How you make decisions
What you value
How you respond under pressure
Why they should listen to you
That is narrative clarity.
What Seed to Stage™ Is
Seed to Stage™ is an intensive story development programme for experienced professionals who want to communicate their authority through personal narrative.
Across one full day in person and four weeks of online group coaching, you will identify, develop, test and deliver a story grounded in your own experience. You will also begin building a professional story bank that can support future keynotes, panels, pitches, leadership conversations and LinkedIn content.
The programme draws on Anna Ong's experience coaching leaders and delivering programmes for organizations including National Geographic, JP Morgan and Duke Corporate Education.
Anna also teaches strategic vulnerability: sharing experiences you have processed with enough perspective to serve your audience. You will learn how to make a story personal while protecting the parts that should remain private.
What You Will Learn
Establish why the audience should listen
Identify the experience, results and perspective that give you credibility in a particular room.
Find the story beneath the résumé
Move beyond job titles and achievements to the moments that reveal how you think, lead and make decisions.
Build your Earn the Right Story
Combine relevant credentials with the personal experience that explains why your work matters to you. Sometimes this story serves you before it serves the audience, hearing your own evidence can remind you that you have already earned your seat.
Stop shrinking your achievements
Notice the language that weakens your authority before your story has even begun. Learn to describe your contribution accurately, without apologising for it or turning yourself into a walking CV.
Shape the story for your audience
Decide what your audience needs to know, feel and do. Adapt your story for different professional settings while keeping your voice and meaning intact.
Create emotional connection
Use scenes, dialogue, physical reactions and specific details to help people experience the moment with you.
Share vulnerability responsibly
Recognise which experiences you can examine with perspective and which ones still need privacy or distance.
Deliver with presence
Practise pacing, pauses, movement, humour and the placement of your final line.
Receive direct coaching
Tell your story aloud, discover where it loses clarity or emotional force, and revise it with specific feedback.
